ParKam – Director of Business Development (New York, NY)



We are looking for a dynamic Director of Business Development to establish our company’s presence in the exciting parking technology market!  In this role you will have overall responsibility for developing, executing and managing ParKam’s plans to create new business in the US.  Generating a robust pipeline of prospects, you will manage the entire sales process from bids and RFP’s to presentations and ultimately closing the deal.  If you have the entrepreneurial passion and drive to hit our business development targets, and to expand our company’s footprint across the US, we want to hear from you!

ParKam's state of the art navigation system allows you to arrive directly at an available parking spot.  We offer smart solutions to all parking needs to enhance revenue streams in your parking lots.  With outdoor cameras and a robust app, we can easily direct parkers, and direct them to an available spot.  When they return, all they need to do is open our app and it show them back to their car.  The City or the parking lot operator receives a strong BI tool with real time availability map and alerts on illegal parking, a new money generator. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Things You’ll Love to Do

  • Hit the ground running with strategies and action to turn your network of contacts in the parking world into long-term client partnerships for ParKam.
  • You love to develop and coordinate all of the aspects of a business plan like researching the market, definining and meeting sales targets, and setting the timeline to achieve new business goals.
  • With your highly-charged entrepreneurial spirit you tackle the challenges of the sales process, including prospecting, nailing down meetings, leading presentations of our superior products, and helping craft solutions that turn clients into long-term partners. 
  • As a communication wizard, you will routinely produce and present management reports to share actual sales results and discuss pipeline status throughout the year.
  • Establish a network of local and national camera dealers/installers so these vendors are reliable, long-term partners for installation and maintenance of the equipment.
  • After the sale’s process has started, you enjoy getting out to the client’s location to help survey the site and oversee the installation of ParKam’s suite of solutions in coordination with internal team members to ensure a successful project launch.
  • Acting as ParKam’s ambassador, you will be the POC for all local customers and business partners spreading the good word about the company’s products and progressive culture.
  • With your natural networking skills, you will generate sales opportunities for key customers in all relevant sectors (municipal, private, retail, operators, airports) and follow through on all viable leads and to push them to closure. 
  • Collaboration is key to ParKam’s culture, so you will have the opportunity to work closely with ParKam’s management in Israel and its Business Strategist in the US, while also contributing to their knowledge base with your experience and ideas.
  • You are an information hawk, updating our CRM database with new leads and ensuring all data is current and complete.
  • Following up with internal stakeholders, you will produce routine reports, respond to information requests and track metrics like the company’s RFP submittal to win ratio and other key Biz Dev stats.
  • As a networker with like-minded professionals in the industry, you will represent the company in major industry events as part of the exhibitor’s team in Parkam’s booth.



What You Need to Have

  • Bachelor Degree or higher, in Business Administration or related field.
  • At least five years of new business generation, sales and marketing experience in the parking / transportation / Smart City industries with proven success in sales of solutions.
  • Established experience in drafting, developing, managing and reporting new business annual plans and instituting changes to the business to either maximize profitability or mitigate actuals that fall below expectations.
  • Strong network of relationships with active decision makers in the parking / retail industry. 
  • An entrepreneurial drive, team attitude and preference working in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven experience in initiating new business activity from scratch by yourself (starting a new branch, representing foreign company in the US etc.).
  • Desire and ability to speak to people in groups and one on one translating these experiences to new business opportunities.
  • Easy access to a major airport.
