Located in Stow, Ohio, ACRT is an end-to-end utility partner, offering a full scope of services from vegetation management to field training. A national firm, known for its excellence in providing consulting solutions to utilities and associated organizations, technology solutions, utility meter services and more, continues to grow at a rapid pace and is searching for a Director of HR to lead transformative change within the department and across the entire organization.

This position directly oversees the company’s HR scope of services to support the overarching mission and strategy. Reporting to the CEO, the Director of HR has high accountability and support for leading various initiatives to continuously improve bottom line results through people performance.

Specifically, The Director of Human Resources ensures the HR Team delivers to all employees companywide the following: recruiting, benefits, employee relations, employee training and development. In concert with the CEO and the executive leadership team, ensures HR compliance with all regulations at the federal, state and regional levels.

Things You Love To Do

  • Ensures all HR products and services in the areas of talent acquisition, onboarding, development and learning, performance coaching and employee exit are delivered by the HR Team in accordance with company standards.

  • Acts as an advisor to all levels of Hiring Managers in the areas of employee discipline, relations, termination, misconduct to discuss and decide appropriate action on a situational basis.

  • Under the guidance of the CEO and senior management team, identifies the HR strategies in the areas of career development, succession planning, goal setting, and incentive planning to then develop, deliver and manage the associated programs.

  • Works with insurance brokers to ensure the company’s health and all ancillary benefit plans remain competitive in the market place, provide intended value for its employees, and are cost effective.

  • Act as company’s Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Officer and ensures compliance of annual EEO-1 report, AAP reporting and OSHA and that personnel files are organized and stored in accordance with external compliance requirements within the designated area of responsibility.

  • With 401k and ESOP provider, ensures the company’s retirement program is managed according to federal regulations and required external reporting is processed and filed within designated deadlines.

  • Leads the HR Team by delegating tasks and projects, managing individual performance, talent acquisition, developing and promoting team members throughout their respective employee life cycle.

  • Provides leadership for developing, revising and implementing all human resource related policies and procedures.

  • Manage all aspects of personnel data management and reporting, meeting both internal and external reporting requirements.

  • Provide necessary KPI’s and supporting data for senior management and board reporting.

What You Need to Have

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related field required.

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in Human Resources in a leadership position.

  • Established experience with OFCCP regulations and compliance preferred.

  • Established experience in managing labor relations.

  • Established experience in planning, developing and managing training and development programs.

  • Established experience in managing HCM systems, upgrades and vendor relations.

  • Established experience in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook and HRIS and Payroll software systems.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

  • SPHR designation desired but not required.

  • Experience in the utility or other service related industry desired but not required.
