Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

As the top finance leader and member of the senior leadership team, you will play an instrumental role in charting the strategic direction of the company while keeping close tabs on day-to-day operating performance. The successful candidate will:

  • Keep us armed with timely and accurate financial and operating performance data with the insight to make well-informed decisions.

  • Oversee the Human Resources and IT functions in conjunction with Accounting.

Key Responsibilities of this Position Include:

  • Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements and reporting package.

  • Analyze and interpret actual operating results and related variances to support management decision-making.

  • Manage all accounting, human resources, and IT functions along with all internal controls.

  • Analyze the performance of the operating locations and identify and address operating concerns.

  • Prepare and monitor operating budgets and capital expenditures.

  • Evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of critical processes and systems.


Key Qualifications include:

  • Minimum 7 years of accounting experience with solid progression and direct management responsibilities.

  • Experience managing multiple departments and personnel

  • Expertise in QuickBooks Enterprise with appropriate certifications, preferably at Advisory Pro level.

  • Proficiency in cost accounting and cost allocation workflow management.

  • Experience within high volume transaction business, preferably retail.

  • Experience with financial ERP systems and project role in system conversions.

  • Proficiency in technical financial analysis including return on capital, lease vs. buy options, PV cash flows, capital structures, etc..

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, clients and outside stakeholders

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and, preferably an MBA, and CPA and/or CMA credentials.
