The Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Aviation Administration (MDOT MAA) is currently accepting applications for Director, Office of Parking & Ground Transportation (DOT Executive V), within the Division of Business Development & Management at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall Airport).
 
The Director of the Office of Parking and Ground Transportation is a member of the MDOT MAA senior management team. The Director of Parking & Ground Transportation is responsible for overseeing customer and employee parking; the airport bus fleet procurement, ground transportation operation and maintenance; commercial vehicle permits including taxi, limo, Transportation Network Companies (TNC), off-airport parking, hotel shuttles and other terminal roadway commercial activity. The office generates approximately $85 million in revenues per annum. 
 
This position is located at BWI Marshall Airport in Anne Arundel County, MD.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • The Director of the Office of Parking and Ground Transportation is a member of the MDOT MAA senior management team.

  • The Director of Parking & Ground Transportation is responsible for overseeing customer and employee parking; the airport bus fleet procurement, ground transportation operation and maintenance; commercial vehicle permits including taxi, limo, Transportation Network Companies (TNC), off-airport parking, hotel shuttles and other terminal roadway commercial activity.

  • The office generates approximately $85 million in revenues per annum. 

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Experience: Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in parking management and/or ground transportation. Five (5) years of this experience must have involved one or more of the following:

    • Overseeing and coordinating the general operations of a unit

    • Applying rules and regulations

    • Exercising responsibility for the development of policies or procedures. 

  • Additional experience in parking management and/or ground transportation may be substituted for the required education and experience on a year-for-year basis. 

  • U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as defined under the Minimum Qualifications may be substituted for the required education and experience on a year-for-year basis.
